The Meyerland Community Improvement Association is gearing up for elections for the 2026–2027 Board of Directors, and we want you to consider joining us. Elections will take place at the Annual Meeting, tentatively set for Tuesday, November 10, 2026 (more details on that soon!).
Serving on the Board is one of the most rewarding ways to invest in the neighborhood you call home. If you’ve ever wished you had more say in how Meyerland looks, feels, and grows — this is your chance.
Why Run?
As a Board member, you’ll help lead a dynamic group of dedicated volunteers who genuinely shape this community. Specifically, you’ll:
- Help shape the policies that determine Meyerland’s aesthetic and direction — your voice will directly influence what our neighborhood looks like for years to come.
- Join committees that speak to your interests and skills. This is where the real work — and the real fun — happens. - Decide which projects Meyerland takes on next — from neighborhood improvements to new community initiatives, you’ll help set the priorities that matter most.
What’s the Time Commitment?
We know your time is valuable, so here’s what to expect: Board members attend monthly Board meetings, typically lasting about 2 hours. Beyond that, plan on roughly 2 additional hours per month for committee meetings and related work. It’s a manageable commitment that delivers an outsized impact on the place you live.

Important: To have your declaration and biography included on the official ballot, your submission must be received by 5:00 PM (Central time) on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Declarations received after this date will be treated as write-in candidacies and will not appear on the printed ballot — so don’t wait!
